Licensed plumbers who spend most of the week in this housing, and who will tell you before you buy a fitting whether it can go where you want it.
Ring and a plumber picks up. There is no dispatcher in the middle taking notes for whoever is cheapest that afternoon, and no answering service in another state.
Most of what we do here is in housing built around a railway station that opened in 1875, where people keep and restore rather than rip out. That changes the questions. Whether a fitting is certified for the position it is going into gets asked before it is bought, not on the morning it is due to go in.
Price agreed before anything starts, licence number and ABN on the quote, and a written lifetime workmanship warranty on the work.
NSW Plumbing Licence 368473C, verifiable on the Fair Trading public register. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal in NSW and voids a home insurance claim, so ask anyone for a number before work starts.
Fully insured, work carried out to the Australian Standards, and a written lifetime workmanship warranty. Gas work carries a Certificate of Compliance as a matter of course.
Our work is reviewed publicly, and we would rather you read those than take anything on this page at face value.
This is a working plumbing business rather than a brand with subcontractors behind it. The person who prices the job is the person who turns up to do it.
The rule that matters most in this housing is quoting the whole job. A changeover that quietly leaves out the compliance work is not a cheaper quote, it is an incomplete one, and the difference turns up later as an argument rather than a saving.
“A quote that leaves something out is not a better price. It is the same price with a surprise in it.”
Croydon grew around its station, which opened in 1875, and the Federation and Victorian streetscape that came with that boom is unusually intact. Most of what follows comes back to housing that people restore rather than replace.
From 1 May 2026, copper alloy fittings installed in contact with drinking water must be certified lead free, at no more than 0.25% lead by weighted average. It governs new work.
In a suburb where original tapware gets kept, restored and matched, whether a particular fitting is permitted in a particular position is a real question, not a theoretical one.
A replacement brings the installation up to current requirements, including hot water reaching bathroom fixtures at no more than 50 degrees. That needs a tempering valve.
A century of appliances arriving and leaving means connections left in walls and skirtings. They get tested rather than assumed dead.
One weak outlet with the rest of the house normal is a restriction, not water leaving the system. Two questions on the phone separate them.
Sydney water is soft. A storage tank that has given up here has lost its sacrificial anode or an element.
Including compliance work, because leaving it out is not a discount.
Agreed before we start and unchanged unless you approve a revision in writing.
Number and ABN on every quote, so you can check us before you commit rather than after.
