Online SpecialNobody pays for the van pulling up when the job came through this page. There is no small print under that.
New CustomersNew customer? Your first completed job comes in $50 lighter, whatever it turns out to involve.
ConcessionHolding a seniors or pension card means 10% off, and not just once. Every job, every time.
Two in the morning with water everywhere, or a bathroom you have been planning since last winter. One licensed crew covers both, the number is locked in beforehand, and the workmanship is warranted for life.
Burst pipes, failed flexi hoses and sewage backing up. Answered 24 hours across Croydon, and we will get the water off before anybody sets out.
Emergency call-outsGas, electric, heat pump and solar. Sydney water is soft, so what finishes a tank here is a spent anode or a dead element, and both are frequently repairs.
Hot water repairsCooktops, heaters and gas lines fitted, tested and certified in one visit, with the compliance certificate handed straight over.
Licensed gas fittingDripping taps, hidden leaks and burst pipes traced with equipment rather than found by opening walls and hoping.
Burst pipes & leak repairsToilets, vanities and tapware fitted in a single visit, including period-appearance fittings, installed only where they are certified for the position they are going into.
Book a fit-offBlocked or slow, cleared and filmed. Footage handed over, whether it shows a defect or a perfectly sound pipe. Start with our guide to what to try on a blocked toilet.
Drain clearingPublishing a figure is rare in this trade, which is most of the reason we do it. These are 2026 Sydney starting numbers, and they exist so you have a yardstick to hold every quote against. Including ours. That is the van at the door and the trade's hourly rate. Job-by-job figures live on each service page.
Free on anything that came through this page. Arrive at us by some other route and the usual Sydney attendance fee applies, generally at the higher end of that band.
What the market asks between nine and five, and the figure that quietly underpins most quotes you will be shown. We work differently, and the note under these cards explains why.
The premium the trade puts on nights, weekends and public holidays. Ours is zero. The job price was agreed before anybody got in the van.
A single agreed number for making a burst safe, freeing a blocked line or shutting down a gas fault, rather than a meter that starts running when we park.
Written down before a tool comes out. Should what we uncover change the job, everything stops until you have signed off on the new figure.
Cards two and three show what the market asks, not what we ask. They are here purely so you can see the contrast. Paying by the hour means paying for a plumber's afternoon, which is a poor proxy for having your problem solved. We price the work rather than the hours, so what you approve is what you settle. And if a fitting you have chosen cannot go where you want it, you hear that before it is bought rather than on the day it is due to go in. Where you already know what you need, the real figures live on the blocked drains, pipe relining, burst pipes and leaks, hot water and gas fitting pages.
Anyone can call themselves a plumber. A licensed one carries a NSW licence number, real insurance, and the legal accountability that comes with both, so when a gas job is certified or a repair signed off, it actually means something.
NSW licensed and fully insured, working these streets week in and week out. Every job meets the Australian Standards and carries a written lifetime warranty on the workmanship.

About to buy a beautiful old tap for the kitchen? Ask us first whether it can go on drinking water. It is a two minute conversation and it saves an expensive afternoon. Meet the crew behind every Croydon callout.

A rule changed this year that matters more in Croydon than in most suburbs. From 1 May 2026, copper alloy fittings installed in contact with drinking water must be certified lead free, meaning no more than 0.25% lead by weighted average. It governs what may be installed from now on. It lands here because Croydon grew as a railway suburb after the station opened in 1875, its Federation and Victorian streetscape is unusually intact, and people here keep, restore and match original fittings rather than replacing them with whatever is current. Across the inner west, a licensed local plumber is only minutes away, same-day and 24/7 for genuine emergencies.

Still have a question?
The going rate around Sydney is $100 to $150 an hour, and knowing that tells you almost nothing about what your job will come to. We settle on one number covering the entire piece of work before we start, so a straightforward visit and a difficult one both finish where you expected.
Anything genuinely urgent, and we are aiming to be at your door inside sixty minutes, anywhere in Croydon or the surrounding inner west, on any day at any hour.
If an attendance or after-hours charge is going to apply, you will hear the number on the phone before the van moves. Coming to us through this page, there is nothing to hear.
NSW Licence 368473C. The Fair Trading register confirms it in about a minute, and that minute is worth spending on anybody you let onto the property. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal in NSW and voids a home insurance claim. Ours prints on every quote we issue.
Soft water accounts for it. In hard-water regions a tank silts up with scale and that is the end of it. Sydney's supply is not like that. Here the sacrificial anode is consumed protecting the steel and the tank starts corroding once it is spent, or an element burns out. Both are frequently repairs.
From 1 May 2026, copper alloy plumbing products installed in contact with drinking water have to be certified lead free, which means a weighted average lead content of no more than 0.25%. Before that, ordinary plumbing brass was allowed to contain considerably more. Certified product carries a WaterMark and is marked as lead free. The important part, and we want to be plain about it, is that this is a rule about what gets installed from now on. It is not a judgement about anything already in your walls and we are not going to imply that it is.
Croydon grew up around its railway station, which opened in 1875, and the Federation and Victorian streetscape that came with that boom is unusually intact. That is exactly why the fitting rule matters here more than it does in a 1990s estate. In an estate everything going in is a current product anyway. Here people deliberately keep, restore or match original tapware, and that is the situation where the question of whether a particular fitting is permitted actually comes up.
It depends entirely on where it is going. The rule is about contact with drinking water, so the same fitting can be perfectly fine in one position and not permitted in another. A salvaged or restored piece is not automatically installable on a drinking water outlet, however lovely and however correct for the house. Ask before you buy rather than after, and the answer takes two minutes. The reproduction market has largely caught up, so getting the look with certified product is usually straightforward.
The whole Croydon LGA and every suburb around it: Belfield, Croydon Park, Enfield, Lakemba, Strathfield, Strathfield South, Belfield, Strathfield and more.
Nothing fills the diary here like hot water. Older housing around Croydon leans heavily on electric storage, gas appears wherever a property was connected for it, and continuous flow shows up anywhere a cylinder had to give up its floor space. These are the makes involved. Repairing and replacing hot water systems is most of what we do here, and we are straight about what each job costs and the age at which a unit stops being worth fixing.

We service and replace these systems as an independent licensed plumber. We are not an agent for, or endorsed by, any of these manufacturers.
Drop your number here and a plumber rings you back. In business hours that is usually a matter of minutes.
